Hello you lovely folks on the interwebz.
So I had a thought today while reading through the forums. Between bashing my face repeatedly on the desk and wondering why I was reading the forums, I found an interesting thread. We as Alliance don’t really have a battle cry. Sure the dirty Horde have Lok’tar Ogar (victory or death in Orcish) and of course hearing people screaming “For the Horde” is kind of intimidating. But we Alliance don’t have anything to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies.
Why is this? Perhaps because we have better things to do defending ourselves from the likes of Garrosh Hellscream. Perhaps because our King Varian is too busy building huge forts to defend against the crazy Horde invasion of Pandaria, or sending resources to find Anduin who is just trying to get to know the new Pandaren race. Whatever the case may be, we as an Alliance must stay together. I’ve noticed with sports teams and such that there is always a rallying cry to get everyone pumped up. However “For the Alliance” seems to fall kind of short. Maybe it’s because, unlike the Horde the Alliance doesn’t really have “fierce” warriors like the mighty Tauren, or the honor bound Orcs; at least in my humble opinion.
I asked this to my twitter followers earlier. If you could come up with an Alliance battle rallying cry. What would you suggest it be? I’m asking for something real. Something you would want to scream at the top of your lungs right before going into a head on battle against an army of Horde. What would you want to be screaming to show pride in your Alliance? Please let me know, I’m very curious what people would say about this. If you have reasoning behind your war cry, even better.
